Development of the technology allowing to determine the chemical elements of crops using the data in the spectrometric plant image No. J05-LVPA-K-01-0203

The project aims to create a unique technology that can detect plant water supply and mineral nutrition elements from the plant image captured by aerodynamic-spectrometric devices. Based on this technology, a remote crop monitoring system for winter rape, winter wheat and spring wheat will be developed. With the help of the information system, an agrochemical model for a particular farm will be developed – that includes a custom software for crops (the need for mineral nutrition elements, the exact amount of fertilizer required, the frequency of fertilization, crop maps and routes for agricultural machinery). With the help of the software, the farmer will be able to rationally use the resources and techniques to increase the productivity and profitability of the farm, while the optimal use of fertilizers and machinery will reduce the negative impact of farming on the environment. This project will not only develop an innovative technology solution, but will also contribute to the modernization of Lithuanian and European economy and sustainable use of agrobiological resources.
